“ Waldo's is the best! Whenever we have company in Mesa, go to Waldo's for the barbecue food. Excellent onion rings and sides. We are always too full for the excellent dessert. ”
“ To quote my brother, “That was fabulous.” We started off our dinner with the onion rings and they were super crispy and served with ranch. The BBQ sauce is served in a communal skillet and you put it on the meat yourself. We really enjoyed the sampler plate and the fried corn on the cob. Would definitley return. ”
“ Gotta get the brisket and ribs. The ribs were so tender they just fell right off the bone. I ordered a combo platter and it was enough food to share between 2 to 3 people when you factor in the sides. I liked putting BBQ sauce on everything including the mac & cheese. They have specials everyday. ”
“ I’ve been coming here since the 80s. Always amazing food and service. ”
“ Great place for good quality bbq. The fried pickles aren't soggy at all and are very fresh, and the drinks come in big mason jars, the iced tea doesn't come out pre-sweetened, which I love compared to other southern bbq places around where I live. I got The Waldo BBQ Sandwich with fatty brisket and chicken, oh my God it's to die for. Their hatch chile Mac & cheese w/chicken is the best comfort food that I wish I could buy from them in buckets because it's that good to me. Not really spicy at all for me, but I taste the hatch and hot, gooey cheese... They also have signage on the inside that'll give you a good chuckle. Staff is very friendly, as well. I only ordered this place through door dash a time or two, but they always have good food. 100/100 from me. ”
“ This place is exactly what I expected a good bbq place to be. Zack is great. We ordered pulled pork, pulled beef, beef brisket, baby back ribs, and St. Louis robs. We like the St. Louis ribs more it’s fatter and juicer, my wife likes the brisket. Portion is great, love that fries is skinny and freshly fried. ”
“ First time dining here and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Barbecuban sandwich with a side of fries. Both were excellent and piping hot. The atmosphere was cool too with funny signs and decor throughout. I’ll definitely be back! ”
